What is NEET UG?
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) is a national-level entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It serves as the single centralized gateway for admissions to undergraduate medical and dental programs across India.
Through NEET UG, candidates secure seats in prestigious government and private medical schools, including AIIMS, JIPMER, ESIC Medical Colleges, and Armed Forces Medical Colleges (AFMC).
NEET UG Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent qualification.
- Must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects.
- Minimum age requirement is 17 years at the time of admission or by December 31 of the admission year.
- Open to Indian Nationals, NRIs, OCIs, PIOs, and Foreign Nationals.
- Students currently appearing in Class 12 board examinations are also eligible to apply.
